This is the Church of St. John at Kaneo on the shore of Lake Ohrid in Southwestern Macedonia. The church is over 700 years old, while the lake it sits above is one of the oldest in the world and home to a staggering number of endemic species. This is on the top of my To-See list once I get to Macedonia, so look for a few more pictures and a couple personal stories about this place in the (hopefully near) future.
